  • Adult body length: 36 – 45 inches, record 58 inches.
  • Body length when hatched: 9 – 12 inches.
  • Young per year: 3 – 24 eggs.
  • Life Expectancy: at least 24 years.
  • Typical foods: birds, mammals, lizards and other snakes, including venomous ones.
  •  

    The Common Kingsnake, also known as the Eastern Kingsnake,

    can grow up to 48 inches in length. Do not be alarmed if you ever

    find one of these snake for they are non-venomous and very

    beneficial, killing lots of rats and other snakes, both venomous

    and non-venomous. The Common Kingsnake is unique because

    they are immune to the venom of venomous snakes. Though

    harmless this snake can still give a painful bite if threatened.
