  • Adult body length: 3-5 feet
  • Body legth at birth : 6-12 inches
  • Breeding period: June – July
  • Young per year: 8-12 young
  • Typical foods: Small mammals, occasional birds.

Being one of the largest and most heavy bodied snakes in

North America, the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake

is also a highly venomous snake that can deliver an extremely

painful bite. It holds the world record at 8 feet long,

ranking as one of the longest snakes in North America.

    Cooool!

    An entire blog dedicated to snakes. You’re not one of those people who actually worship with snakes in Church, are you?

    I remember that there was a group in West Virginia or Kentucky…or somewhere…that took a small Biblical verse to mean that they should all dance and worship with snakes and not get medical treatment if bitten.
